I guess it depends what you're doing with it then. I must be unlucky ;)

I've heard stories (can't vouch for the truth in them, never tried this)
that older accounts in Virgin Freeserve (possibly others - I've heard
this from various people at various times) get slower. I know someone who
claims that upon opening a new freeserve account his access times dropped
and he got better connection speeds. I personally think it sounds like
bunkum, but you never know. . .

I had a quick look myself, and as usual there are many versions hidden all
over the place. The linux20-libc5 version is there, under 'supported'.
There is also the linux20-glibc version, under 'unsupported'. That's
available from
ftp://ftp.netscape.com/pub/communicator/4.6/english/unix/
unsupported/linux20_glibc2/navigator_standalone/
navigator-v46-export.x86-unknown-linuxglibc2.0.tar.gz
(note the breaks in the extra-long URL!!)
To be honest, either the libc5 or the glibc version should work, since
you're using precompiled binaries. The only problem I've ever heard of
libc-wise is StarOffice - that can barf quite badly on a glibc machine. I
guess you could probably choose the smaller download!
Cheers,
Alex.
