Yeah, I've heard good things about them too. I have to say my favourite is
still gigabyte, but there are a lot of good designs knocking about these
days.

Not entirely true! The Medocino has only 128k L2 cache, this is true, but
that doesn't mean it suffers performance degradation compared to a PII(I).
Why? Because the cache runs at full clock speed on the Medo. Under linux,
with our small kernel footprint etc., you can fit a lot in 128k, and with
some apps you get better performance than a P2. It's the space/speed ratio
- whether the loss in space is made up for by the gain in speed. Of
course, some apps run faster on a Pii because they need more cache space,
but this is why intel are trying to phase out the celery :((
