colour telnet
Hi,
Anyone know how to get linux to behave as a colour terminal?
I'm wanting to set up a linux box as a dumb terminal to a Digital server.
The application
running on the server uses codes to signal colour changes and I'd like the
linux box
(TERM=linux) to process these. Do you know how I find out what codes are
being sent
and where I get these translated into colours within telnet?
Alternatively, how do I change the white-on-black screen to be something
else, eg
yellow-on-green? I'd like to interpret 'bold foreground' as something else,
eg 'blue
background'.
If I can demonstrate a linux box acting as a sexy terminal there could be
big
advocacy points to be gained. ('colour' = 'sexy')
thanks,
Nick
