Why not an 8 foot stack of RH or SuSE ? It's not far off believe me. RH
actually presents a similar profit margin to Win98 upg so from a retail
standpoint it would be OK.

At my local computer superstore (OK, I'm blessed with living in Silicon
Valley right now) there are MORE yes MORE boxes of Linux on the shelves
than Windows 98. Not only that but all the major retail linux players
are represented. They are flogging SuSE at $29.95, I counted over 100
units and they were dotted throughout the store as a promotion.

You can now buy PC's pre-installed with Linux. It's not the onesy,
twosies that are doing this it's IBM, Compaq etc. How long before this
if offered on retail units. If this is pitched right to PCW, it could
be sold as an opportunity to get in early even if we are all being over
optimistic of our chances !

Have a great weekend all,

Andy.
