The last sheflug meeting was pretty interesting for me as I'd only ever been
to one other Linux meeting and that was a rather formal event in manchester,
but saddly it was very low on numbers. I won't be around for the Linux Demo
saddly and wondered if it would be a good idea to get more students involved?
Especially computer science ones where you are very likely to find at least
50% of them all use Linux at home.
The best way to do this is via the Sheffield Usenet groups, but as these are
internal, the only people on this sheflug list are those [at] sheffield.ac.uk who
I've added to the To: field.
Could you make a post to shef.dcs.misc and shef.general If my memory serves
me correctly, it's been about 3 years since I frequented these, but they were
pretty heavily read, another idea would be to post in USIT/CASC (what used to
be called CASS several years ago).
