There was a long thread on this on the Tokyo Linux Users' Group ML a
while back (Yes, Virginia, it was in English). Accessible via search
of the archive from www.tlug.gr.jp; I don't have a precise URL
offhand, sorry.

Robert's setup looks good to me, especially as a place to start
designing your own..

Note that what you're doing also depends on which distribution
you're using to do it; Debian is in the process of moving all docs to
/usr/share/doc, including html versions. But the standard home for
Web documents is /var/www, not something under /usr or /home, which
some other distributions have used at one time or another in the past.
