RE: Linux Answers
I got a copy in WH Smith in Rotherham. As a
slightly-more-advanced-than-total-newbie user I can recommend the mag
wholeheartedly as newbie friendly, including RH6, WP8 SO5.1 on the disk
plus a comprehensive guide to installing RH6 occupying about a quarter of
the mag. Quite simply, it's an excellent intro to Linux but with more
techie stuff as well for the more experienced.
Important note - this is badged as Premiere Issue i.e. a pilot. The
viability of a regular mag Depends on how this sells. Go out, track it
down, buy one, buy another, give it to a mate.

Hello All,
This is my first post in this list. I didn't even know Linux had much of
a presence in this neck of the woods, and then I found you guys!
Anyway, about Linux Answers. I looked around today (27/10/99), and could
I find a copy ANYWHERE in Sheffield? No, is the answer, and I just
wondered if anyone else had found one, or knows of a delay?
What are the general views on this venture in this list. I have met
scepticism from other locations as to the relevance or use of a Linux
based magazine, but I think it is high time one started doing the
rounds, as long as the publishers make good use of the paper :)
Cheers then,
Craig
