Heh, and I still get by with my P166+ !! Still, image processing and the
like *does* require a beefy setup...

Yep, from what I read the author was trying to maintain the app on
multiple platforms from pretty much a single code base. GIMP is a little
like that in a way, but requires GTK to be on the target platform, the
Photogenix requirement is smaller I believe. It's nice to be able to
develop an app for multiple computer platforms (i.e. non-UNIX) from a
single codebase.

Heh, that's 'cos I have no idea. I *think* the next meeting is going to be
the Demo Week, at Blackwells? I'm going to try and be around for at least
a day, no promises, but I would encourage people to turn up to demo week
'cos I went to the last demo day and it was good fun.
