Voodoo 3

Greetings all

any one good with 3Dfx cards
I have tried to install the 3D drivers for my Voodoo 3 but ain't
getting anywhere. I get a variety of error messages depending on app
but this is the most prevalent from Q2
ref_gl version: GL 0.01
R_SetMode() - CDS not allowed with this driver
Initializing OpenGL display
...setting mode 3: 640 480
gd error (glide): Can't find or access Banshee/V3 board
fxmesa: ERROR no Voodoo Graphics or Voodoo Rush !
ref_gl::R_SetMode() - invalid mode
Initializing OpenGL display
...setting mode 3: 640 480
fxmesa: ERROR no Voodoo Graphics or Voodoo Rush !
ref_gl::R_SetMode() - could not revert to safe mode
ref_gl::R_Init() - could not R_SetMode()

I believe I have glide and mesa installed correctly but obviously don't
any ideas
