Upgrading Kernel
I am currently running the stock distribution of SUSE 6.1 (kernel 2.2.7), I
have been told there is a security loophole in the IPchains / masquerading
modules. To this end I intend to upgrade the kernel but I have heard there
is a problem with pppd in later kernels (i.e. later than 2.2.10)
Are either of these problems true?
Which kernel do you recommend? (latest is 2.2.13 is it not?)
Do I need any library updates in order to patch the kernel?
Cheers
Alastair
