There's a few things I can think of at present:
-gEDA (http://www.geda.seul.org/) very alpha, haven't tried all of it.
-EOS is a logic simulator (-> freshmeat :D)
-Chipmunk has a logic simulator in it. It is used quite extensively
for teaching purposes. I have a page (in German) with loads of course
examples. Chipmunk dwells in http://www.pcmp.caltech.edu/chipmunk.

To the best of my knowledge, all the above are GPLed. I think
chipmunk needs to be compiled (there's no debian package, and I don't know
about rpms).

Hope that helps,
Jose
