Awful! Awful, awful, awful, awful. AT commands are for *modems*, and
winmodems are *not* modems. Bad, bad, bad, bad. That's such a poor, poor
decision. Quite possibly the most useless thing they could have done. Not
having something respond to 'AT' would have made a superb way to
differentiate between regular modems and winmodems. The PC hardware world
never fails to disgust me.. . .
