There is a bug in the video mode detection routine for (at least) the
S3ViRGE which YaST2 uses on boot. Net result - hang. This is the initial
boot screen, before you get anywhere near configuring the system. It's such
a lethal bug that you'd expect SuSE to have trapped killed it......
