I hate to be boring and repetitive but have you tried GRASS ? It's
GIS software that can be used to analyse geological and
archaeological data. I can't think that anyone from the Money
Program would be able to understand that sort of thing but it's got
an interesting GUI and looks quite good for those people who expect
to see a word processor. For more info see.........

I would have thought that he would have been more interested in
spreadsheets and curves that go upwards ? I was thinking that
Ruediger at SuSE might have some good ideas but he's probably busy
just now ?
