Dragon or the Real Truth ?

I thought that this might interest a few people ?

I'm sitting here looking at the Linux Samba list in Australia. They
are having a discussion about an American news item which goes
something like this....

The rumour is that the Chinese Government have thrown out MS Windows
2000 and replaced it with their own Linux distribution. They say
that this will help their own RD and academic base, they can be self
supporting (something that MS Windows does not encourage). I think
my own comment would be to say that it's good to hear that they able
to recognise the difference between real operating systems and snake
oil :-)

If you want to have a look around the internets news sites and
report your findings back to this list then perhaps we can be well
informed by the middle of next week ?
