daft question

Hi,

Just to prove what a dorky tyro I really am can anyone tell me where $PATH
statements go. I have been trying to install a couple of Unix X based
programs which appear to have worked pretty well but they both say that, to
function correctly, I should 'include them in my $PATH statement' - duhh, I
don't know where my $PATH statement is!!
