Further PPP

Further to the module problem... I just tried to connect, and it took 3
attempts before pppd started properly. Also the following appeared in
xconsole (as well as the module thinhg):

pppd[330]: ioctl(TIOCSETD): Interrupted system call(4)

What is this, please?
