You may have all seen my crys for help with my NFS setup.
It turns out that hosts.allow and hosts.deny on my Redhat 6.1 box only
like IP addresses (NO NETMASK!!)
Whereas the man pages and how-to`s suggest ip address and netmasks in
these files. i.e. 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0
So, to allow my machine and my flatmates machine to talk to each other,
both boxes /etc/hosts.allow file reads:
ALL: 192.168.0.1
ALL: 192.168.0.2
and the /etc/host.deny reads:
ALL: ALL
This works...after a lot of messing about.
Hopefully this might someone.
