On-the-fly compression.

Hey again.

Yes, I know that you`re all sick of hearing from me... :-)

Anyway..I`ve got a zip drive on the way from dabs.com, and I`ve already
managed to setup my flatmate`s drive to run on my machine.

However, my question is....is it possible to set up transparent (or at
least very close to it) compression so I can maximise the amount of
stuff I can squeeze onto a 100Mb disk?

I`ve had a look through the online HOW-TO`s, but I can`t find anything
to help, although I`m sure I`ve seen this mentioned somewhere before.

I`d rather do that instead of having to move a bunch of files to a
temporary directory, compress them, get more, etc, etc.

Cheers, Baz.
