Hello
           Welcome to the Sheffield Linux User Group discussion list. If
you wish to start a discussion or just want to introduce yourself please
do so.  The list is there for you to discuss anything to do with Linux or
similar operating systems.  We hope that our discussion list will provide 
you with useful information and that you might even be entertained a little
by the people who are part of our internet community.


Please refrain from the use of defamatory language and the use of
e-mail to flame other folk.  Your e-mail application was designed by
highly educated programmers to allow you to show other people that you can
use the English language effectively .


If you're going on holiday and wish to suspend your list subscription, send 
a message to <sheflug-request [at] vuw.ac.nz> with the following command in the 
message (subject *or* body):  

set vacation  

To continue receiving messages from the list, send the command:  

unset vacation  

in place of "set vacation" above.
 

If you have any problems with the list at any time please contact the
list owner.
