It's not immediately obvious, I grant you. At first, you have to really
strain to tell the difference. And then you hear the difference. You hear
a kind of swishing, swirly sound. And that's it - every time you hear an
MP3, it's there, and it's **so** annoying!! My advice - don't try to
listen for the difference, unless you want to dump all your MP3's...

Agreed, PC's aren't well known for great sound. The best I've heard was a
friend of mine with a Turtle Beach - sounded fairly good. I find the
digital signals from computers tend to be a bit messy too, I can often
hear the difference there too. :( Damn my ears..

Well, if you can sell it for 12G's, it's pretty much worth that.. although
I don't pretend for one second that they sell many ;)) I'd certainly never
pay that sort of money for a CD player - you can get a Linn LP12 from
around 2 grand, I think, and vinyl at that price sounds *way* better than
CD. Just more musical..
