RE: FreeBSD

it refused to use the onboard DEC Tulip ethernet chip, but worked quite
happily with one on a PCI card (Znyx PCI Etheraction).

There are not as many drivers with FreeBSD.

same driver, same chip.

A lot of people who use FreeBSD sware by the ports system. I still
havn't got round to trying it.

It is useful - you don't have to clutter up your drive with source.
However, it's a bit of a surprise when you type "make" and it tries to make
an ftp connection 'cos the right CD isn't inserted.

I can copy them, I'd like to take a copy for myself as well. The 3.2
CD's I've got seem to have some things missing from them.
You'll have to stump up some blank CD's or a few quid for the blanks
though, I'm running a bit short at the moment. Is it still 4 cd's in
the powerpack?

Do you have any preferences for blanks - I don't mind forking out. There
are 8 disks in total, 4 for 3.2 Stable and 4 for 3.3. Are you coming to the
curry night ?
