RE: Help: SCSI driver



Simple way to check - boot from the cd (cd 2 in 6.3, 1 in all before), let 
it wibble on until you get to the Modules menu, tell it to auto-load 
modules then see what it loaded. Just reboot after. Might be easier than 
probing about or compiling drivers in. If it was supplied with a scanner 
presumably there's no BIOS onboard, which might make life easier.

No, it's definitely a SCSI device. The writing on the chip actually says

ZILOG
Z0538010PSC
SCSI
9519    19

As I say, I've previously checked the Zilog site and found nothing for
UNIX/Linux but having just revisited the site, can't find anything at all
now. It's an oldish chip which isn't made any longer, the date code on my
device, 9519, indicating that that particular one was made in '95.
