Here the lilo docs are in /usr/doc/. My memory is that LI is caused by either:
1. geometry mismatch, or
2. the LILO map file has been nuked.
Anyhow if lilo is not working, and did before, as has already been suggested you
should just run lilo at the command line and forget linuxconf.
