new webmin
I just downloaded the latest version of webmin (0.77) For the uninitiated,
this is a web-based graphical config tool which runs by default on tcp port
10000 on your localhost. All the old functionality is still there, but
instead of a single page of icons at startup the user is presented with a
tabbed workbook.
Webmin can be used on a host of different versions of Linux, Unix, and
MacOs X, and can be viewed as the newbie's best friend when starting out
with Debian, FreeBSD and other less-than-optimally-friendly OS'es.
Webmin can be found at http://webmin.com/webmin/
Among other delights are a new filemanager section, Custom Command creator
(!) and old favourites like Sendmal config, Samba config (including access
to swat) and a neat crontab editor.
Paul.
