Not a whole lot of point in running a telnet server on a windows box -
telnet is a text-mode type thing, and Windows doesn't like text mode...

As for ftp, there are a few FTP servers around for WIndows.  The only NFS
servers I've found are commercial, so you'r stuffed there.

The best way for file transfers on mixed Win/Linux LANs is Samba.  You can
have all the machines set up as servers, and with the smbfs work that
happened, you can mount windows shares under Linux like any other file
system.  Why you'd want to, that's your business - but it can be done... <g>

I think C:\windows\hosts does it, but come along to the ShefLUG meeting on
the 12th and I'll show you how to do it with DNS... bewdiful!
