BTW, I was going to bring my new testbed pc - currently running the SuSE
6.3 CeBit2000, Mandrake 7 & BeOS 4.5, but the wife is taking the kids to
Leicester so I'm bus-bound :(

Did my shopping at DCS in Doncaster for the bits for this machine - I can
certainly recommend the el-cheapo 19.50 pound midi-tower AT case especially
for this sort of "using up the scrap bits" project. Amusingly, the cheapest
CD-ROM in the shop was a very whizzy 52x, just right for those multiple OS
installs :).

The cheapie SiS gfx card was no good with my Intel VX mobo, but it works
fine on the kids' TX pro based box. This meant I could nick their S3ViRGE
which is among the two or three pieces of hardware BeOS supports ; )
