SCSI tape device question
Okay - dunno if anyone can help with this...we have this rather cute DELL
PowerEdge 4300 at work, which is going to be the new server - it's running
Redhat 6.1, and it has a tape drive...a nice little beast: Sony TSL-9000 DAT
autoloader (holds 8 DDS3 cassettes).
Now, it detects with two LUNs - 0 and 1. 0 is the tape device itself, and
Linux quite happily sees it as "sequential access". 1 is the one I'm
interested in - it is recognised as "media changer". Now, what I'm trying to
find is: how the hell to make use of it. Does anyone have any experience of
SCSI jukeboxes? Anyone any idea what I could use to get the thing to change
tape? Or any idea where I could start looking?
Thanks :)
Chris...
