That said, I have rubbished MP3's myself on this very forum (in fact, I was
accosted (!) because of this at the last meet; I think I shall start holding
'MP3 Demo Days' where I teach people how to tell if a source has been MP3'd
;) Although, just for plain 'wow' factor it's not half bad :))

CF-II is extremely versatile. Strangely, digital cameras (the one item CF
was basically invented for!) don't often support CF-II. Although, that said,
that situation is changing now, and I expect there will be a lot more CF-II
devices available in the coming months.

Well, doesn't have a keyboard in the tradition sense, but remember, Mobile
Linux (and no, I don't think Samsung are using Mobile Linux yet, but I
imagine the changes will be integrated into ARMLinux) has a virtual keyboard
built in for this very sort of application. While it won't be as fast as
touch-typing, neither is speech (unless you're French ;), and I can
communicate perfectly well speaking ;)) I would prefer something like
Graffiti, or short-hand - I'm amazed nobody seems interested in producing
short-hand interpreters for computers, because in terms of motion:signal
ratio, it's extremely high. I think it's fairly easy to decode by all
accounts too; it's just there isn't really a complete standard on what
symbols mean what :(
Cheers,
Alex.
