The best way I have of sync'ing time is to put:
/usr/sbin/netdate tcp ntp2a.mcc.ac.uk tcp ntp2b.mcc.ac.uk \
tcp ntp2c.mcc.ac.uk tcp ntp2d.mcc.ac.uk \
tcp ntp.cs.strath.ac.uk
Then:
/sbin/clock -wu
in /etc/ppp/ip-up ... what that'll do is time sync against the NTP servers at
Manchster and Strathclyde...then I write the updated time back to the BIOS.
As its in ip-up, it runs once everytime I go online. Keeps the clock nicely
sync'd and pretty accurate :)
