I always disagreed that machines should be allowed to think by
themselves, they have a couple and you see monitors doing that and worse

I happened on my Amiga's mointor a loooong time ago. If you are
electronics oriented, you might want to have a peek inside, as my
problem was caused by a blown resistor that eventually triggered a dodgy
connection as the are heated up.

Looks reasonable. But as Ian Wright suggested, you might want to
try another monitor. My bet is the problem will disappear. This looks
like leaky hardware...
