Thanks to those who replied - d'oh! TBH I didn't spend a great deal of
time hacking around, so missed sshd.conf entirely!!

I presume setting "PasswordAuthentication" will do just what I want (can't
get on the other pc at the mo').  

Now, who do I send my RSA key to in order to stop the thought-police
knocking my door in at 3 a.m ; )
