I thought Win95 used plain passwords - but I installed the Win95 USB update
taking it to either OSR 2.1 or 2.5 which I later found out also changes it
from plain to encrypted passwords. Nice one, MS - install a USB subsystem
and it changes the SMB password scheme. I suppose I really ought to migrate
the entire network to encrypted passwords before long but once it is working
then I am loathe to mess with it.
