A segmentation fault occurs in a process when the kernel is unable to bring
into physical memory a page which the process has requested. Typically it
occurs when a process attempts to read or write somewhere it shouldn't.

I an afraid you'll have to supply a little bit more than that. I woudl
recommend you tell the world the following:
Distro
Version of distro
Kernel version
The exact error that occurs
The line (with some context) on which the error occurs
Version of the offending program
Somebody should be able to work out what's gone wrong from that.
