I know this seems like herecy on this list but all I was getting at was
that if he's using a winmodem that's not linux friendly, it would save the
20 quid or so outlay to replace it. I have no doubt that linux can do a
better and more flexible job than the windoze s/w, that's why we're
switching to it at work here. However, our proxy server works fine and more
to the point, I know how to configure it, so it's one function that we
won't be falling over ourselves to change... good sysadmin practise I
would've thought.
