I may be being totally naive here (it wouldn't be the first time and 
probably won't be the last) but I can't really see it having much of an 
effect immediately. Both companies are going to be run by the same people 
that are currently running them, with the same mindsets that they currently 
have. I haven't read the full spiel on how M$ is required to be split but I 
haven't seen anything about one of the new companies having to be sold off. 
Until this was done I don't see company practises changing radically and it 
wouldn't be all that easy to find a buyer in 90 days as either company 
would be very expensive to buy.

If I'm way off track feel free to put me right ;)
