What I heard from Computing News is this:

Microsoft(s) have two be two independant companies, no code sharing,
preferential treatment, that sort of doings.

No one is allowed joint shares (Billy boy has to be Windows or Apps, not
both)

No one can work for both

The apps division get Windows literature and features at the same time as
everyone else.

What this essentially means is that MS Apps will be just another 3rd party
developer.

One advantage for adamant users of Windows is that they can't
lose. Windows will have to start selling itself as a capable OS, not just
"the OS that everything has to run on, so I may as well have it". This
will mean either:
	MS OS's will become better products, and more compatible with
other, superior OS's. Everyone gets to run everything (yay!)

	MS OS's will crash and burn, and everyone can use Linux!

Everyones a weiner!
