i wasn't refering to you personnally but to the list in general....... i've
learnt my lesson when it comes to critisising your opinions:-)

the general tone of the group suggests that the majority do not approve of
GUI's as a method of config. I must say that after nearly a year of Linux, i am
using the command line more than ever and more surprizingly don't mind doing
so but that is mainly due to the lack of good general allround admin tools. i
know of webmin, lothar, fetmailconf and all are good in there own right as far
as they go. what we need (as far as i'm concerned) is a good control panel type
application. webmin is almost there except i haven't had much joy with it
personally:-(

i was in contact with the developer some months back...... his app isn't being
distributed due to the cost of internet access over there.... says he can't
afford to run the server online much so i've never seen the results. it was
also still under development. i suppose this just goes to show the advantages
of group work against lone development even on small apps like this.
