xanim will play more than practically any other app, I'm afraid. What type
of file is it? .mov could be anything, most likely QT though. If you open
it up in a hex editor, and the first four bytes spell out 'moov', it's a
QuickTime file. If xanim isn't playing the video, it's an unsupported
codec, most likely Sorenson Vision. You ain't going to be able to play
those on Linux til Apple bring out a UNIX Quicktime layer, which ain't
gonna happen soon I'm afraid.
