[Sheflug] Re: Network Goes on Holiday

Still can't work out where I've gone wrong...
result of netstat -r.....
SuSE box
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface

192.247.47.47 * 255.255.255.255 UH - - 0 ippp0
192.168.0.0 * 255.255.255.0 U 0 0 0 eth0

on the Debian box......

if I ping either machine I get "network is unreachable". If I edit
/etc/route.conf and do "/sbin/init.d/route stop" and
"/sbin/init.d/route start" I get "Error while executing: /sbin/route
add net 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 dev eth0 route: netmask
doesn't match route address"
Looked in the SuSE manual and Running Linux from O'Reilly and I don't
get any clues from those either. Uner YaST the network card is eth0
192.168.0.2.
What do I chop around next ??
