I presume the rpms use some form of internal compression since the rpm &
deb versions are half the size of the tarball. They probably tgz simply to
roll in the install scripts etc.
Installation is graphical and very easy. Unfortunately, my Mandrake
scarificial box is only P120/64Mb so it's a bit painful under wine.
If your box has the horsepower it's probably very worthwhile installing
it, just because it's free. BTW, the free version license expires 30 days
after release of the commercial version.
I'll delete it when they come round and ask me to ;)
