You don't *have* to -- but it is advised to. For those that don't know, the
SuEXEC support in Apache is a security feature. Any script that is ran in a
users home directory...that is, any CGI you get to with:
http://server/~someuser/something.cgi
will be executed as user someuser. Without SuEXEC, the CGI will run as the
user the web browser runs as (by default, "nobody").
I know for a fact that Redhat 6.1 comes with SuEXEC support switched
on...dunno about other dists.
