Hi,
I am currently messing around with Samba on a
medium sized network, and have this problem:
Most of the other machines are Win9x, and a few
are WinNT. Only 2 are Linux based.
I can see the WinNT and Linux boxes OK, as they
are all on the same domain. However, if I try to ping a Win9x box, all I ever
get is Host Not Found.
I have set up Samba to use the correct WINS
server, to no avail.
Summary then: On a network with a single domain.
I can see NT and Linux boxes (boxen?) OK, but not Win9X boxes. I can, however,
mount the shares on these by the usual methods.
