[Sheflug] winmodems under linux
I have a pctel V.90 K56 HSP PCI Modem (I know, but I thought a modem was a
modem when I bought my computer) and I have just got a driver for it from
pctel (from a link off the www.linmodem.org). However, there is no readme or
install file and it is not the usual ./configure, make, make install
scenario.
What I have is two folders: lib and src.
lib contains five files: control.a, dsp.a, hal.a, pctel.o, ptserial.a.
src contains another folder called module which contains two files: Makefile
and ptmodule.c.
Does anybody know what I'm supposed to do with these? If its a kernel
recomile job could you explain the steps involved.
Or should I face defeat at the hands of the Billster and buy a proper modem?
Cheers,
Dean
