Still struggling with my way round Linux, I have been trying to find out how
to do this. I can't find it in YAST, and have come to the conclusion that I
use the "change group" command by going to the KDE terminal as root, and
typing:

  chgrp dialout  /etc/ppp/pap-secrets

I then repeat this for chap-secrets.

Could you kindly tell me if this is correct, please, or if I am completely
wrong.

I know that I am dealing with SuSE and not temperamental Windows, but I
would hate to do the wrong thing and mess the installation up!
