[Sheflug] inetd
im having problems on a SUSE linux 6.2 kernel 2.4test2 I run standard inetd
for ftp and xinetd for telnet but when a classroom of about 18 computers try
to ftp the server they get cant connetc errors, but the inetd process is
still present, any ideas what could be cousing this.
Another thing is im using a cron script:
checkproc /usr/sbin/inetd && echo Internet Daemon OK >>
/usr/local/httpd/htdocs/
logs/dstat || /etc/rc.d/rc2.d/S20inetd
to restart the daemon if it screws up but how can i modify this script to
test the daemon status to check if its working ok not if the process is
present.
