[Sheflug] Vi scripts?
Hello all,
recently I have been getting a strange message from Netscape (another
one!). It says:
This is an executable 'vi' script, do you want to execute?
whenever I try to download anything. If I click yes, it attempts to save
the download to my default download directory, but does it by taking over
the browser window rather than creating a seperate download instance. If I
click no, nothing happens.
I have recently started using a proxy at cableinet, at around the same
time as the errors. Could this have anything to do with it? I am
sceptical, as cableinet uses MSN, and is very much a Windoze baby. This
could explain much of the downtime.
Also, anyone wanting to use a nice fast browser would do well to check out
Galeon. It is reliant on having Mozilla installed, tho'. It is really just
a new front end. It is, however, very quick to start and display pages, so
I'll let it off. It is also incomplete, so they are doing so badly. I
forget the URL, but it's on this months Linux Format disk (as well as
Mozilla M15, I believe)

Life would be so much easier if we
could just look at the source code.
