Re: [Sheflug] Where do I start?
I currently run the only Linux box in our company (I use VMware for any
Windoze based stuff). On it I have apache, procmail, sendmail, apsfilter,
samba and a host of other things configured, so my machine is like a mini
server. In fact, it can do more stuff than our real (NT) server, like
dynamic shares to Windoze boxen.
Currently, no-one has realised that my machine is different to any other
(even though it has 4 netbios names and 7 IP's (it has a dhcp server running
and acts as a gateway to my own private network, populated by test boxes and
virtual machines)
So yes, a victim is perfectly feasible, and once it works, could conceivably
be used as an actual mail server, with a little cleaning up.
The LDP is your friend when it comes to setting stuff up, BTW (apart from
this mailing list, of course!)
Cheers
Craig
