[Sheflug] java?
Can anyone point me in the right direction here? The problem is with
java applets under netscape or mozilla. If I visit a website with a java
applet? netscape (4.72) just crashes and leaves a lock file for me to
delete. Mozilla m17, although it doesn't crash, just doesn't display the
java section, it does however prompt me to download the plugger plugin
from the netscape site.
I think the problem is merely a missing rpm on my install of redhat 6.0,
but I'm not sure which one. The install was a development environment as
I am learning C++, so I would have thought all the java stuff would be
on. I used to run suse 6.4 when I had the cd's and everything behaved
fine apart from the occasional netscape crash with java running.
Current setup is rh6.0 as i said, running in 64meg ram on k6-2, window
manager is fvwm2. Also if you try to run a java console netscape
crashes, so it doesn't appear to be caused by a particular website but
by the java side of things.
thanks in advance,
Darkstar
