Corel have a large hand in the Wine project...it was Corel that managed to
speed up development so more was done in the first year Corel helped than in
all previous years, from what I remember.

However Corel's Linux distribution wasn't well received after the expectation
of the beta, so that won't really be missed...it's one less distribution to
worry about.

The only concern about Microsofts involvment in my book is the future of
Wine; will MS support Corel's continued involvement with it, or will they try
and kill it. I'd suggest that its in MS's interest to keep the project going,
as it gives MS themselves more of a chance of getting some of their apps to
run on the *nix platform. On the other hand, it may be better for MS to try
and hinder Wine so that less apps run and more folk have to by the Win OS,
but that said people may them seek alternatives for their apps.

Linux isn't going to suffer from this IMO.

Chris...
